You are reading the history of the SMC or Single Men's Club.
The aim of this club is of course to get out of the club by any means nessesary. As it states in the SMC charter, we have been "helping single sisters do service since Jan. 20 2002".
The life of a single man is fraught with peril and heart break. It can be
lonely and hard unless there is an understanding soul beside you… making fun of you at every step.
Knowing that young men need this source of sarcasm the SMC was formed. The SMC is, first off, a group of BYU roommates and friends.
Second off it is an informal dating organization. We have collected stories and inside jokes from all over our years at BYU, and this
page is a repository for those memories. Enjoy!

*Update - Summer 2006: Apparently BYU authorities have deemed it requisite to destroy all evidence of the birthplace of the SMC. That's right, starting in the fall of 2006 DT will be razed including ole 617 Rrrrr Hall...
